Light Spring Color Palette: Every Shade With Hex Codes
Light Spring is the lightest and most delicate season in the warm half of the system: fair, warm colouring with low contrast that glows in coral, butter yellow and mint and disappears under anything dark or heavy. This is the complete Light Spring palette from the Tone & Fit app, 38 shades with hex codes, plus the five to buy first, the colours that swamp you, and the metals that suit the palette.

Light Spring is defined by value: lightness comes before warmth. Skin, hair and eyes all sit at the light end of their ranges and close together in depth, so the overall impression is soft, low-contrast and luminous. The undertone is warm, though gently so, which places Light Spring on the border with Light Summer, its cool sister. Chroma is medium: colours should be clear rather than dusty, but never so saturated that they shout.
The palette is a warm watercolour: light coral, butter yellow, mint, warm aqua, peach and warm pink at the front, a wide band of pale midtones behind them, and neutrals built from ivory, sand, oat and linen. Compared with Warm Spring, everything is a step lighter and less intense; compared with Light Summer, everything carries a drop of gold rather than a drop of blue. If a colour has to be light and warm before it looks right on you, this is your season.
Still deciding? The Light Spring identification guide lists the seven signs to check, and the spring colour palette shows how the three Springs compare. Also called Light Warm.
All 38 Light Spring colours with hex codes
This is the Light Spring palette exactly as the Tone & Fit app stores it: 10 statement colours, 12 everyday midtones, 8 neutrals and 8 accents. Every swatch carries its hex code, so you can paste it into a shopping filter, a paint app or a moodboard. The app shows a filtered selection of these on your result screen so that no single hue family crowds out the rest.

Light Spring power shades: the five to buy first
Start with these five. They are the clearest light-warm colours in the palette and the ones the app surfaces first for Light Spring, because they match your depth instead of overpowering it.
- Light Coral#FF9A76
- Butter Yellow#FFD166
- Mint Green#A8E6CF
- Light Warm Aqua#7EC8E3
- Warm Peach#FFCA99
- Light Coral #FF9A76: The signature Light Spring colour: warm, fresh and never heavy.
- Butter Yellow #FFD166: Yellow is hard for most seasons and easy for you; this is the shade to prove it.
- Mint Green #A8E6CF: A clear, light green that reads as glowing rather than washed out on warm-light colouring.
- Light Warm Aqua #7EC8E3: Your blue: light, warm-leaning and clean.
- Warm Peach #FFCA99: The colour that most closely matches your own skin and makes it look lit from within.
Light Spring colours to avoid
Depth and coldness are the problems. Black, deep indigo, burgundy and saddle brown are simply too heavy for light colouring and make you look like the outfit is wearing you. Cool colours such as slate grey, icy blue and cool purple pull the warmth out of your skin and leave it looking pale. Dusty, muted shades are less of a disaster but still cost you clarity. Where you need a dark, use a warm mid-tone instead: light taupe, warm sand or a soft camel.
- Black#000000
- Deep Indigo#4B0082
- Slate Grey#708090
- Burgundy#800020
- Saddle Brown#8B4513
Five shades that work against Light Spring colouring
- Black: The heaviest colour there is against the lightest colouring in the system.
- Deep Indigo: Dark and cool; it overwhelms light features completely.
- Slate Grey: Cool and muddy against warm, delicate colouring.
- Burgundy: Too dark and too blue-based; it makes light skin look pale.
- Saddle Brown: Warm but far too deep; oat and light taupe are your browns.
Metals and jewellery for Light Spring
Light, warm metals. Light yellow gold, rose gold and champagne gold all flatter a warm, delicate undertone; a heavy, dark antique gold can look too weighty. Silver reads cold on you, though a very pale, warm-leaning white gold can pass. Pearls, pale coral and light amber stones suit the palette better than anything dark or dramatic.
Best metals: Light yellow gold, rose gold, champagne gold.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Light Spring and Light Summer?
Both are light and low-contrast. Light Spring is warm and glows in peach, coral and butter yellow; Light Summer is cool and looks best in powder blue, soft lavender and dusty rose. If gold jewellery looks better on you than silver, you are on the Spring side.
Can a Light Spring wear black?
Rarely well. Black is the heaviest colour available and Light Spring is the lightest warm colouring, so the contrast swamps the face. If you must, keep black away from the neckline and add a light warm colour next to your skin. Light taupe, oat and warm sand are your everyday darks.
Is Light Spring the same as Warm Spring?
No. Warm Spring (True Spring) is deeper and more saturated, built around coral-orange, golden yellow and warm turquoise. Light Spring wears the pale, softened versions of those colours. If the lighter tint consistently looks better on you, you are Light Spring.
How many colours are in the Light Spring palette?
The Tone & Fit palette has 38 Light Spring colours: ten statement shades, twelve everyday midtones, eight neutrals and eight accents, all listed above with hex codes.
How do I confirm I am a Light Spring?
Look for light features that sit close together in depth, plus a warm cast. Try warm peach against your face and then powder blue: if the peach evens out your skin and the blue makes it look pale, you are Light Spring. Our free colour analysis tool gives you a season estimate from a single selfie.
